We Take Cryptocurrency, But Probably The Wrong Ones.

I know a little bit about cryptocurrency. Years ago I made a small amount of money on the bitcoins - never had the cashflow to "invest" properly. I'd be pretty wealthy now if I had. So it goes. I was also particularly interested in Monero, due to its privacy focus.
Point is, I wanted to accept Monero when I set up this shop, because I feel like its the most "useful" one out of the bazillion shitcoins out there. Problem is: Shopify's crypto support sucks,
Oh, they have a page listing the officially supported crypto vendors. Most of them are not usable. Also, a bunch of the "help" links are broken, leading to 404s.
- Crypto.com: The setup involves me setting up multiple accounts, for some bizarre reason I can't wrap my head around. No, I'm not doing that. Fuck off.
- DePay: Simply does not function. Attempting to log in with the Shopify plugin leads to an endless login loop. Reported, but no fix is in sight.
- BitPay: Requires an application fee. Fuck off.
- Strike, OpenNode, Ibex: Supports Bitcoin Lightning and nothing else. The fuck even is that?
- Lunu: Requires shit like proof of shareholder structure and a bunch of other documents I don't have or don't want to provide. Fuck off.
- Bit2Me: No Amerimutts allowed. Well, fuck you too.
Exactly ZERO of them allow you to use Monero. In fact, from more recent research, it seems like Monero has been at least semi-outlawed in a lot of places. I guess I can understand why, but its a bit of a shame anyhow.
So that leaves exactly ONE usable crypto processor: Solana Pay, which I have now set up to accept shitcoins: Which is basically all that they do accept. No BTC. No XMR. No LTC. No ETH. Not even DOGE. Just shitcoins you've never fucking heard of. But they do at least let you use Stablecoins, like USDC and USDT.
So I guess, for now, if you really want to use crypto, convert your "real" coins to a stablecoin and send it over. Best I can do until Shopify and/or the crypto processors unfuck their shit.
